St. Edward’s University has offered a BA in writing and rhetoric since 1987. The second largest major in the School of Arts and Humanities, the WRIT program offers concentrations in creative writing, professional writing, journalism and digital media, and general writing studies. A significant curricular review two years ago updated the major’s core to emphasize writing, editing, and designing texts in the digital age, as well as rhetorical analysis and theory.
