Austin, Texas Local Attractions

Museums

Austin boasts a large and diverse group of museums. Museums likely to be of particular interest to ARWS attendees include the Blanton Museum of Art (including the newly built Ellsworth Kelly work), the Harry Ransom Center, and the LBJ Presidential Library (all located on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin); the Mexic-Arte museum at 419 Congress Avenue; the Bullock Texas State History Museum at 1800 Congress Avenue;  and the Contemporary Austin Jones Center at 700 Congress.

Links to those museums’ websites with updated information, as well as the websites of many other Austin museums, can be found at http://www.austinmuseums.org/.
